INTRODUCTION
To obtain Spanish citizenship, among other requirements, candidates must pass two tests designed and administered by the Instituto Cervantes:
– DELE Spanish Diploma Level A2 or higher: certifies proficiency in the Spanish language (required for all individuals whose country of origin does not have Spanish as an official language).
– CCSE (Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain): certifies knowledge of the Spanish Constitution and Spain’s social and cultural reality.
STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
CCSE Test General Overview
The CCSE test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions.
The content is divided into two groups:
- Government, law, and citizen participation in Spain (60% of the items).
- Spanish culture, history, and society (40% of the items).

The test has a maximum duration of 45 minutes.
CCSE Test Scoring and Certification System
The CCSE test contains 25 questions with a single correct answer and is scored automatically. Correct answers receive 1 point; incorrect answers receive 0 points and are not penalized.
The maximum score that can be obtained in the CCSE test is equal to the number of items it contains (i.e., 25).
DELE Test General Overview
DELE Spanish Diplomas are official qualifications certifying the degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, granted by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

The general structure of the DELE A2 exam sections is as follows:

The DELE A2 Spanish Diploma certifies the language user’s ability to:
- understand and use frequent everyday expressions, mostly related to areas of experience that are especially relevant due to their immediacy (basic information about oneself and one’s family, shopping and places of interest, occupations, etc.);
- perform simple and direct communicative exchanges on known or habitual aspects and to describe in

Ideal for those who need to improve their Spanish level and become familiar with the structure of this exam.
MODALITY: Courses are available as: general, mini-groups, semi-private, or private.

DATES
The CCSE test is scheduled to be held on the last Thursday of every month.
No CCSE sessions will be held during the months of August and December.
DELE A2 level exams take place in February, April, May, July, September, October, and November.

Requirements to register for CCSE and DELE tests
Candidates of any nationality with the legal capacity to act and who are over 18 years of age may register for the test.
Registration process and price for the CCSE test
Registration payments must be made at (http://ccse.cervantes.es/). Payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or PayPal.
Registration for the CCSE test entitles the candidate to a maximum of two attempts, only in the event that the candidate does not pass the test on the first attempt, or if the candidate was absent from the first session.
Registration for the DELE test entitles the candidate to a single attempt.
